Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve written a post. That’s a good thing though, as far as I’m concerned, it means I’ve been busy putting together some killer sites. Patting myself on the back here. Anyhow, Neil, one of my online buddies has just launched a new blog, very cool stuff. If any of you have a blog you know how much time it can take to actually put a quality post together so hop on over there because he has definitely put some thought into his work.

The phrase Internet marketing can be confusing to some people. If you tell folks that you’re an Internet marketer you may just get a blank stare or they may bombard you with a ton of questions that could take you forever to explain. The one thing that Internet marketing is not is a way to get rich quick. Maybe it’s just me but all of these get rich quick folks that think they’re Internet marketers are driving me crazy. Internet marketing is a professional gig nowadays and plays a vital role in today’s economy.

For years people have been pushing get rich quick web sites and e-books that will make you a millionaire overnight. For all of you folks that are new to Internet marketing, please don’t fall for this stuff. Most of these folks are just like yourself and want to make a little extra money on the web. The problem is, all they see is sites pushing e-books that tell you how to make money online so they emulate what they see. This stuff is drives me crazy.

There are very few folks with original ideas in this arena and even fewer making any money. The lack of originality here is getting to be very apparent and eventually people will figure it out. By the way, please stop sending me friend requests on MySpace just because I list Internet marketing as one of my interests.

Instead of buying an e-book on how to get rich, save your money and read Business Blogger on a regular basis. I will give you as much information as I can on Internet marketing and web development in an attempt to slay the bad reputation Internet marketing has been given by the get rich quick sector.
